Responsibilities

At Newport Healthcare, we believe in the power of connection and healing. As a Family Therapist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating individual, family, and group therapies, utilizing our Attachment-Based Family Therapy model to foster understanding and growth among families. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding families through their healing journeys.

What You'll Do:

  • Family Liaison: Communicate proactively with families, serving as their primary point of contact and support throughout the treatment process.
  • Therapeutic Facilitation: Lead engaging individual, family, and group therapy sessions within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Orientation & Support: Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups, helping families feel welcomed and informed.
  • Documentation Excellence: Complete all necessary documentation-including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries-timely and in accordance with established standards.
  • Data Management: Accurately enter and save data using Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning platforms.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Representation: Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences to represent Newport Healthcare and stay updated on best practices in the field.
  • Independent Management: Effectively manage your schedule to accomplish goals and tasks efficiently and independently.

Join Newport Healthcare as a Family Therapist! We treat individuals ages 12-32 who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, and/or co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse. Through our clinical expertise and integrated care, we strive to help alleviate the stigma surrounding teen and young adult mental health. The Family Therapist is the primary contact for families assigned on their caseload. This position facilitates individual, family, group therapy, and new Family Orientations.


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
  • Experience with individual, group, or family therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred
  • Willingness to be trained to provide family therapy within the framework of Attachment-Based Family Therapy.

Pay range for this position is $68,000 to $95,000 depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization
