About this opportunity Slitter Operator As a Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of all slitting machines according to company procedures and guidelines. Included in their duties is ensuring that they read the order properly, ensure all raw materials are available, and following all Quality and Food Safety system procedures. The Slitter Operator will also be required to assist in other areas of the department and complete any tasks as assigned by the supervisor. What you will do Operate Slitter / Rewinders Develop required technical skills to perform all job responsibilities associated with slitter/winder operation. These responsibilities include effective machine setups, consistent quality inspections, minimum waste, and high productivity. Quality responsibilities include accurate production reporting, roll labeling, quality documentation, basic machine maintenance. Must always maintain clean equipment and work area. Set example for others to follow in quality, housekeeping, and productivity. Must be willing to assist in any other areas of the department and complete any tasks assigned by the shift Supervisor. What you have to offer Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to comply with all Food Safety & Quality System processes Ability to comply with and sustain 5S process Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
