SUMMARY



The Company is looking for an
experienced Construction Manager for its Air Separation Unit (ASU)
Engineering Department. Company ASUs provide nitrogen, oxygen, and argon
directly to customers via pipeline and trucks, as well as sale of products in
various size tanks. The Engineering
Department of The Company is responsible for design and construction projects
of ASUs, as well as other types of industrial gas plants. These projects
include new projects, expansions, and revamps. The Construction Manager will work closely
with the Project Manager, other team members, vendors, and contractors to
plan and prepare for construction, and provide onsite construction management
for projects like those described above.
This will be a full time position as a direct employee of The Company.

FUNCTIONS



Essential
Functions



Essential Function



Participate as a project team
member in P&ID reviews, HAZOP studies, and constructability reviews.



Collaborate with Project Manager
and Scheduler to review contractor schedule submissions to verify all work
scope is properly identified and logically sequenced.



Collaborate with Project Manager
and team members to develop a project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).



Collaborate with Project Manager
and Scheduler to review Total Project Schedules for inclusion of all project
scope and logical sequence.



Collaborate with Project Manager to
develop the Project Safety Plan and Project Quality Plan, and ensure
adherence to same.



Manage and coordinate multiple
construction contractors.



Oversee project jobsite
construction activities to monitor compliance with all safety rules and
regulations.



Participate with project team,
contractors, and vendors in risk identification and analysis, monitor risk
register for risk triggering events, and implement risk mitigation plans when
triggering events occur.



Assist Project Manager and
Scheduler to identify alternatives to recover schedule slippage.



Review and approve contractors'
lift plans.



Ensure contractors are following
quality construction standards per Project Quality Plan.



Conduct daily onsite assessments of
work progress and report to Scheduler.



Conduct weekly assessments of
project progress vs. contractor reported progress.



Vet construction per IFC drawings
and specifications.



Prepare weekly reports of
construction progress.



Assist Project Manager and
Scheduler to review and validate contractual compliance regarding invoices.



Assist Project Manager and
Scheduler to assess actual costs vs. planned costs and expenditure plan.



Assist Project Manager and
Scheduler to ensure no out-of-scope work is executed.



Assist Project Manager and
Scheduler to ensure that all changes are handled in accordance with the
Change Order Plan, and to evaluate Change Order requests.



Lead project team in Pre-Startup
Safety Review (PSSR), and manage completion of punchlist items.



Other duties and responsibilities
as directed by Project Manager or other management.
