Department of Surgery Job Description
The Department of Surgery is seeking a dynamic candidate to further expand the Section of Thoracic Surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The Division has a long history of excellence providing care for cancer patients at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, the longest standing cancer center west of the Mississippi. MU Health Care strongly supports the growth and development of general thoracic surgery in both general and cancer surgery, through sustained and significant investment in multidisciplinary cancer care, surgical care of cancer disease of the chest, clinical trials, and translational research. Robust clinical, outcomes and basic science research platforms provide excellent opportunities for academic growth. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery Candidates will be evaluated on: minimally invasive and/or robotic thoracic surgery and clinical experience in a significant spectrum of malignant and benign non-cardiac thoracic surgery of the chest, mediastinum and foregut. A strong interest in medical student, general surgery resident and fellowship training. Application Materials
