EARNED VALUE LEAD (SME)

LOCATION:
Huntsville, AL

SUMMARY: The Earned Value Lead (SME) will support the Missile Defense Agency Earned Value Directorate (MDA/DAV) with all aspects of Earned Value Management and program support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

The Earned Value Lead (SME) will perform all aspects of Earned Value Management and program support including, but not limited to the following:

  • Collect and analyze cost performance data reports in order to identify cost, schedule, and performance trends and deviations and recommend corrective action
  • Lead the review, summarization, and implementation of financial management policies and guidance


NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS in Related Field and 15 years experience; or MA/MS in Related Field and 10 years experience; both including 5 years experience on major DoD Acquisition Programs (MDAPs)
  • Minimum of 7 years of EVM Policy experience
  • Certified as a Program Management Professional (PMP); Earned Value Professional (EVP); or similar industry certifications; or prior DAWIA Level III Program or Financial Management Certification, or equivalent training
  • Capable of serving as an Earned Value and IBR subject matter expert for the integration of cost and schedule metrics, baseline reviews, funding integration, and/or schedule analysis for complex weapon systems. Has more than ten years specialized related knowledge
  • Capable of supporting a major DoD program as an senior program analyst overseeing cost, schedule, and performance monthly/weekly reporting and recommendations; includes 7 years' experience in a DoD or Industry program management and integration environment providing strategic level analysis, communications, and staff coordination
  • Able to lead complex studies and quantitative analysis, and present results and recommendations
  • Able to lead the review, summarization, and implementation of financial management policies and guidance; minimum of 7 years of EVM Policy experience
  • Possesses expert levels of communication skills (oral and written), interpersonal skills, organizational, teamwork, and presentation skills for complex financial topics
  • Capable of working independently to review, process, and formulate programmatic products


COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Proficient with the standard Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance desired
