Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UNSY 315- Uncrewed Aircraft Systems and Operations. Course Description Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), Uncrewed Aircraft Vehicles (UAV), and their role in the aviation industry and importance in modern commercial and military integration in airspace, air traffic control; development, operations and applications. Structural and mechanical factors, avionics, navigation, flight controls, remote sensing, guidance control, propulsion systems, and logistical support. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. QualificationsExperience at a Military or Civilian organization operating unmanned aerial systems, active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, Aircraft Designer, or other field related to current UAS training, maintenance, or operations or efforts to integrate UASs into the NAS. Applicable Professional Certification Rated Military Flight Officer or FAA Certified Airman or any professional certification related to unmanned aerial systems operations.
